Ed Balls says that Labour will bring back the upper rate of income tax to fifty pence in the pound for people earning £150,000 and above. Just high enough to not affect the income tax rate of ministers. Whilst people on lower wages may agree with this perhaps it would be better on getting the correct income tax from millionaires and others who avoid paying their correct dues, buy tax avoidance schemes and putting their money in off shore tax havens. This would raise billions in revenue not millions that may be raised from increasing income tax from those earning £150,000. Because nobody on either side of the debate know how much would be raised from such a proposal.

Dancing on ice
I don't go much for these kind of shows but the results from the public show how thick they are with far superior dancers getting thrown out and tonight's programme showed what an utter farce it is when three crap performers have got through to the next round. Thank God that it's the last series. Then my wife won't have me watching utter rubbish.

Quenelle gesture
West Bromwich Albion footballer Nicolas Anelka has made a gesture that is suppose to be an inverted Nazi salute. He brings his last arm across his chest and touches his arm there are other people who have also used this gesture using their right arm. If this gesture is an offence then couldn't every American who does a similar action when their national anthem is played also be accused by some people of making an offensive gesture. Again isn't this just people trying to be politically correct when there is nothing there. Just certain people in the world who have nothing positive to do.

This tells what they really think.
We read that the government is thinking of cutting welfare benefit further to £20,000 yet we see that the MP's have spent £250,000 of public money on portraits of fellow parliamentarians such as Tony Blair, Kenneth Clarke, and Diana Abbott a portrait that should be used to scare rats from the House of Commons. This really shows how incompetent these people are who are only bothered about themselves. This at a time when thousands of people have to decide on heat or eat. It's now time that this corrupt edifice was brought to the ground and was staffed with people who thought about the countries interest before their own. They talk about cutting the countries deficit yet forget the old adage look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.
