The Catholic Church is going through a traumatic time Cardinal O'Brien has resigned over the accusations of four priests about abuse going back to the 80's. Why has it taken so long? We have senior police who are under investigation. We have complaints about the senior people within the NHS. We have trouble still within the running of the BBC. But what we get from the senior people is denials or that it was before my time. Now we have the sex claims over Lord Rennard of the Liberal Party. Nick Clegg said that he knew nothing about it, then he changed his tone and said that he was aware of the complaints going back five years ago. His chief of staff informed him in 2010 about five allegations but he disputed them and took no further action. Tim Farron the Lib. Dem President made matters worse by saying that they screwed up over its handling of the matter. Its also reported that Danny Alexander the Treasury Chief Secretary confronted Lord Rennard with allegations in 2008. Then on Newsnight Simon Hughes said he knew nothing about it till confronted on the programme. I believe these people must be removed from office because they are incompetent to hold office. When they are confronted they make statement like Nick Clegg did. Indirect non-specific allegations? Utter gobbledygook. These people always seem to suffer from the same congenial defect Its called collective amnesia. its always strange how they suffer from this complaint, but when they are putting over their policies that they want the public to hear they are completely coherent.

Romanians And Bulgarians
In the 1960 when Germany was divided, the East Germans thought of a plan to cripple the West German economy. Any East German who reached the age of 60 and was not of a significant person to the East Germans economy were allowed to leave and enter West Germany. The idea was that even though they were East Germans the West Germans were obliged to pay these people old age pensions and other benefits at the rate that West Germans were entitled to, because West Germany didn't recognised the division of the country and all Germans were the same, luckily the plan did not succeed. But today the European Union is under a similar scheme, that can damage the prosperity of the people of what was once classed as Western Europe. As the European Union increases in area and there are at present 27 countries, with eight more waiting to join in the future. In 2014 Romanian and Bulgaria are going to become members, and there is going to be an expected influx of people from these countries. Under present EU legislation any person coming to Britain from these countries are entitled to the benefits of this country. For people coming and getting jobs there is no problem but for people coming as benefit tourists then we have a problem. In Germany they are feeling the problem with in some areas social breakdown is happening. There are in Germany 159,000 Romanians, in France 90,000,in Spain 900,000 and in Italy 970,000. The home office expect 50,000 to come to this country in 2014 but some experts predict that it could be ten times that number. Statistics vary but a Bulgarian worker on the minimum wage with a dependant spouse and two children receives a weekly income of £62 in Britain he would receive £543, a single Romanian on the minimum wage would receive £55 in Britain he would receive £254. Is it any wonder that these people would want to come to the West and Britain in particular. Now Cameron says that he vows to cut benefits for migrants. But can he do anything, if there is unrest with the people of this country and a growing unrest in other Western countries such as France and Germany. Haven't the rules to be altered, so that these Romanians and Bulgarians who come to this country as benefit tourists would only receive the same amount of benefits that they would receive in their own country. Like wise if people from Britain went to Bulgaria they would receive the equivalent British benefits in those countries. People may say that this is not fair or just, but is it fair and just that these people can come this way to gain more than at home. Even though not many people leave this country for those countries. The system is loaded against the West and in favour of the Eastern countries. The only fair way would be for the European Unions leaders to inform these countries that they have to increase benefits to comparable benefits in the West, then perhaps we would not have as many migrants coming from these countries to escape poverty, yet we have the government here cutting benefits to our people to find savings because of the austerity that only the working class and some middle class families are feeling the pain.

Put the prise of fizzy drinks up
How to stop obesity in Britain whats the response from the doctors and medical profession increase the cost of fizzy drinks by at least 20%. The same old rhetoric. Increase the price, again hitting the lower paid in their pocket. We heard it a few months ago over sausage rolls put the price up, its always the comment from people who haven't got a clue. All we need is to use the old adage everything in moderation and the problem could be solved all putting the price up fills up the governments coffers.

EU Budget
Cameron has seized victory with the budget cut, yet is he being presumptuous this has to go before the European Parliament who could veto it. The president of the parliament Martin Schultz has threatened to have a secret ballot next month to encourage MEP's to vote down the budget. Does this go to show how undemocratic it is with secret ballots, I'm quite sure that this is something that the people of Europe don't want. The French didn't want a cut in the budget and why not because they are one of the biggest recipients of the common agricultural policy, The truth is that for years they have received money from CAP because they are incompetent, behind the times they have not modernised as the rest of the original member.farmers have, like the British and the Germans If France and President Hollande want to do anything why doesn't he say that France has received this money for far to long at the expense of the other members and that French farmers will enter the twenty first century and benefit us all.

Speeding points
Chris Huhne and Vicky Pryce have brought this on themselves, but in Germany this could never of happened. Why because the speed cameras photograph you from the front. It was said that we didn't do that in this country because the flashing of the camera might distract the driver, what a load of rubbish. If you are photographed from the rear the flash still gets into the eyes of drivers coming the other way, so that excuse doesn't wash. I was caught speeding in Germany a few years ago. I was caught doing 60Kh/h in a 50Kh/h zone ten kilometres an hour over the speed limit. I received a 15 Euro fine but no penalty points, a few kilometres more and I would have received points. When the speeding penalty form arrived it had everything on it but more importantly there was a photograph of the licence plate and a photograph of the person behind the wheel, me. In this country we have thousands of people each year taking the points for the wrong doer. so long as we get the money it would seem that the perpetrator can get away with it. So its money not justice it would seem.If we had the German system we would save any of this. As for Vicky Pryce saying that she was bullied into taking the points. Does anybody in their right mind believe that a woman with a high profile job like hers, would be bullied. She was not some little stay at home housewife dominated by a high flying husband. She knew what they were both doing. But as both having high profile jobs and who they were they believed that they could get away with it. In Germany there wouldn't have been a problem. Lets hope that if she is found guilty that the full force of the law comes down on them both. They could both face life imprisonment for perverting the law. But sadly they will probably end up get months not years. Again there is punishment for the peasants, and one for the others with friends in high places. That is what justice means in this country today.

Democracy in Britain today... I dont think so.
We are always been told that we live in a democratic country but is that true? Yesterday 650 MP's decided if gay marriage should be put on the statute book.650 people decided for the population of the country. Is that democracy I don't think so. Not one of the main parties put it in there manifestos. If they had the outcome of the last general election might have turned out differently. 400 voted in favour and 175 against, these people voted with their conviction, but the biggest disappointment is that 63 abstained. If they hadn't got the courage of their convictions either for or against then they shouldn't be in parliament. But an ever sadder part is that parliament spent over six hours debating this when there are far more important things that affect the vast majority of the population. If we live in a democratic country why is it that these members of parliament had a free vote. Did any of these MP's have constituency members who asked them to vote one way or another. If we live in a democracy then the MP's should vote on the way that the majority of their constituents who took the time to ask him or her to vote should have respected their wishes and voted with that majority decision of these constituents no matter how small it was. If this didn't happen then we are not in a democratic country. We are governed by 650 people.

Chris Huhne
So after ten years and two years of denying that he asked his wife to take his driving points he has pleaded guilty. He has perverted the law, this from a man who has been an MEP is an MP and was in the Cabinet. He has resigned and I hope that nobody attempts to say that this is an honourable move on his part. He has resigned as an MP. This just goes to show what type of a person he was, a multimillionaire what other lying has he done in the past. He's an arrogant man and I hope that the full force of the law comes down on him and he faces a long custodial sentence. People in authority have to understand that they are subject to the law as are the rest of us. We will now have to see what the outcome of his ex-wife will be as she has pleaded not guilty and goes to trial. If found guilty will she face a longer custodial sentence. There can be no excuses from either of them as they are both alleged highly intelligent people. But dubious in their daily lives.

Some Conservative Hypocrisy
Senior local conservatives are urging the prime minister to delay a parliamentary decision on gay marriage till after the next election. About twenty of them delivered a letter to 10 Downing Street. Its also thought that 180 MP's and 4 cabinet ministers could also abstain in a parliamentary vote. This is the height of hypocrisy on the part of these conservatives. If they are opposed to gay marriage you don't abstain you have the strength of your conviction and vote against gay marriage. As for those conservatives who delivered the letter, again if they are opposed to gay marriage they inform the prime minister. Asking him to put it off till after the next election is absolute rubbish. What is the point of that if he does the problem over gay marriage will still be there in 2015. Do these conservatives actually think that they will win the next election?
