So Sheffield Council is going to close then demolish Don Valley Athletic Stadium where Jessica Ennis trained over many years. She trained here and would have used these facilities at probably no financial cost to her. Now where is the so called Olympic Legacy that the prime minister and all these other dignitaries talked about at the time? This is the true fact, that people like Ennis who won gold medals but have since have made millions of pounds for themselves riding on the tax payers backs who subsidised her sport. It would be a nice gesture on her part instead of basking in this glory and criticising the council she handed over a large sum of money from her wealth to keep this facility going for the future generations who want to be future Olympians.
