Speeding points

Chris Huhne and Vicky Pryce have brought this on themselves, but in Germany this could never of happened. Why because the speed cameras photograph you from the front. It was said that we didn't do that in this country because the flashing of the camera might distract the driver, what a load of rubbish. If you are photographed from the rear the flash still gets into the eyes of drivers coming the other way, so that excuse doesn't wash. I was caught speeding in Germany a few years ago. I was caught doing 60Kh/h in a 50Kh/h zone ten kilometres an hour over the speed limit. I received a 15 Euro fine but no penalty points, a few kilometres more and I would have received points. When the speeding penalty form arrived it had everything on it but more importantly there was a photograph of the licence plate and a photograph of the person behind the wheel, me. In this country we have thousands of people each year taking the points for the wrong doer. so long as we get the money it would seem that the perpetrator can get away with it. So its money not justice it would seem.If we had the German system we would save any of this. As for Vicky Pryce saying that she was bullied into taking the points. Does anybody in their right mind believe that a woman with a high profile job like hers, would be bullied. She was not some little stay at home housewife dominated by a high flying husband. She knew what they were both doing. But as both having high profile jobs and who they were they believed that they could get away with it. In Germany there wouldn't have been a problem. Lets hope that if she is found guilty that the full force of the law comes down on them both. They could both face life imprisonment  for perverting the law. But sadly they will probably end up get months not years. Again there is punishment for the peasants, and one for the others with friends in high places. That is what justice means in this country today.
