Mission accomplished

David Cameron has said that when the army leave Afghanistan  in 2014 it will be mission accomplished. With no disrespect to the 446 soldiers that have been killed or the others who have lost limbs it is not mission accomplished. The Taliban have not been eradicated, in fact they have got stronger, the opium fields that were going to be destroyed has failed, the truth is that they are now cultivating more opium now than before the invasion. Within six months of all ISAF forces leaving Afghanistan it will be as lawless as it was before the invasion and it will probably be more of an Islamic state than it previously was. Girls will have their education stopped and what ISAF has achieved will be destroyed. As for the soldiers Cameron praised them saying that it was a job well done, oh by the way your reward is to get your P45. Just more bull shit from this failing prime minister who is more talk that action.

IPSA

This goes to show how out of touch MPs are if they except an11% pay rise when the people of this country have not had a pay rise or have had one under the rate of inflation for the past couple of years. So they may have to give up  their coffee and biscuit allowances and taxis in day time. I'm quite sure the population will feel sorry for them. This just goes to show how corrupt the establishment is that these people are only bothered about lining their pockets. So they may have to pay more towards their pensions this again is only for their benefits when other people are seeing their pensions reducing in value. Let's hope that these members of parliament are all replaced by others at the next election although they will receive the increase but if the population informs these members of parliament that if they except the rise that they will be voted out at the next election so enjoy the five years because it will be all they get.

Immigration

Cameron is right to say that there will be caps on immigrants coming to this country from the 1 January 2014 but the European Union say that there is freedom of movement for all people within the EU but it's all one sided. How many people travel to the east from the west. It's completely logical and sensible for people who have no jobs or financial benefits in the east like they can get in the west from their point of for them not to travel to the west. The leaders of the EU with their overpaid jobs are completely out of touch. They will only see this when the EU starts to implode but then it will be to late. But they will have creamed off their salaries and will be living high on the hog. Whilst the rest of the citizens continue to suffer.

Lord Neuberger

Lord Neuberger has said that two month prison sentences can be disruptive for a prisoners job and family life. How bloody sad perhaps these people should think about that before they commit crimes. Is it any wonder that people are getting disillusioned with people in authority who are out of touch with the real world especially when hard working honest people see their lives blighted by these criminals and then see them given light sentences in many cases they are only given community   Service yet they may have blighted somebody's life for quite a  few years especially the elderly. Now we have a report about rape being on the increase will the people in authority be giving soft sentences that will do nothing to stop rape. Long custodial sentences in double figures won't stop rape but it might just deter other possible rapists from committing rape.

Security committee

Hazel Blears was on the committee that was questioning the directors of the security services. But is she a competent person to do this when she couldn't or wouldn't tell the truth over her expenses. She is political corrupt and therefore should not be trusted to do a good job.

Power companies v super markets

Ministers are saying that we need more competition in the search for consumers to find cheaper gas and electric as prices increase yet  again. It's surprising that the big four supermarkets compete with each other by reducing prices or offering the customer deals. Yet the power companies do the exact opposite they increase prices and three times above inflation. Ministers say that to help the customer we need more competition, we need more companies. This just goes to show how out of touch they are with the real word. Four companies provide food etc, at competitive prices. The power companies fix prices, but for some reason the government don't seem to see this or more importantly they don't want to see this because many of them have financial dealings with them. But they will never own up to that. But the most important thing is what the population all know that these alleged six companies are a CONSORTIUM some thing that is illegal?

Energy prices

Energy company SSE are to increase their prices by 8% next month they blame the world market, and it's expected that the other five suppliers will also increase their prices. But what would happen if say E ON said that if say an extra four  million people signed up with them they would reduce their prices by say 2% if this were to happen then perhaps the consumer could get a better deal.

Another Cameron con,

Cameron has said that the government will cap what the rail companies can charge on rail fares yet the rail companies will only benefit a minority of the rail passengers. If he wants to help the vast majority of the  struggling population then he should get the utility companies to reduce their increases in fuel bills. The referendum he has promised for 2017 goes to show how out of touch he is with the population how can he promis this hopefully he will not be in office then. Then he may get the message that he is not listening to now, then for him it will be to late.

African migrants

With the tragedy of the coast of Italy people are saying that something has to be done to make it easier for the people coming from Africa, but Europe can't continue to take these thousands and possible hundred of thousands in the future especially as there are an estimated 26 million out of work already in  Europe. Italy can't continue to take them so perhaps it's time that NATO had military ships patrolling off the coast and ports in North Africa were these boats are setting sail from and turning them back within distance of there exit points. If these boats belong to criminals who are charging these migrants  then these migrants should be told to disembark before these ships are destroyed by NATO forces. Because it's quite obvious that Europe can't continue to take them in and it's unrealistic to return them to Africa by aircraft.

No blame society

Another woman has been sentenced to life for killing her baby. It's said that a baby is killed every week in this country by a parent or guardian. Many are known to social services but nothing happens. Birmingham council has carried out 23 case reviews since 2009. Eleven children have died in this city what are they doing surprise surprise more case reviews yet no body in authority is ever punished. Just excuses about being over worked shortage of staff, yet there are over 100 positions unfilled why because the applicants should be picked for their  common sense not useless qualifications. These deaths have happened under the noses of qualified people which proves that the current systems are failing. How many more children have to be murdered before it sinks in?

Profit

David Cameron has said that profit is not a dirty word and will be allowed under his government. He may be correct but when does profit become greed? The utility companies are making profits in the billions but not because they are efficient but because they are stealing from the population. That's greed in my humble book not honest profit.

Boris johnson

There is talk that Boris Johnson could re enter parliament as an MP but does the country want this bumbling buffoon  as prime minister. He would be and is a laughing stock that would make the country also fall under that umbrella to the rest of the world.

Are the British consumers being played

Are the British consumers being played? Whilst gas bill have increased by 41% and electric by 20% since 2007 our continental allies have seen their utility bills increase nothing like ours, the big six utility companies have seen their profits rise to around £10 billion. While EDF of France and Scottish power owned by Spanish companies can't increase their bills in France, Spain, Portugal,Belgium, Denmark,Greece and Italy because price rises are fixed by these countries governments. So is it any wonder that these companies increase their prices in Britain and blame the increases on market forces, so that they can keep profits up for their share holders. When Ed Miliband talks about holding or freezing prices for 20 months if he becomes prime minister we have to many people in the government and other positions saying that this can't be done. But are these deserting voices people who have financial concerns with the big six? If Britain owned these companies instead of foreign investers then perhaps we would see our bills falling by a substantial amount. But more importantly isn't it about time that we had a government that now thought more about the people of this country than the profits of foreign owned companies.

iPCC

The IPCC meeting has come up with a report that says basically that humans are responsible for the increase in  climate change over the past fifty or so years. But what can they do if China and India are building a new coal fired power station on average every week. Yet the west is now suppost to be dealing with the so called green agenda that is costing the average British household an extra £200 a year more on their utility bills. They once complained about people travelling abroad on their annual holiday, but it's ok for these organisations such as the G7 and G20 and these other forums on water pollution and climate change to meet in exotic places that can only get there by aeroplane there was one a few years ago where 35,000 so called delegates came this is the equivalent of 70 jumbo jets full Many of these meeting could be done via video conferencing, but they don't want that because they would not be able to stop in these top hotels paid for by the public. They should practice what they preach, and find more ways to meet economically, and save the planet.

HS2

We will have a new boss to run HS2 he is Sir David Higgins who oversaw the Olympics they say that he brought it in on cost but that's not quite true the original cost was £3.7 billion but ended up at £9.8 billion. But we always get the excuse that we had contingency costs etc. he says that Britain needs it but he would say that he has to justify his £591,000 salary perhaps if he took  a substantial cut in his salary would go a small way to reducing the escalating cost. We are told that its cost had increased from £33 billion to now £50 billion and we haven't started to build it. So what will be the final cost no body knows. We have  only to look at the costs of Concorde and the channel tunnel and their final construction cost billions over the original predicted cost.  It's always the same with these so called experts non of them can give you a true cost they make the same excuses that there  are things that could go wrong or that aren't foreseen. I was In favour of a high speed train but if we want  it lets build it from the north to the south not the way that it is predicted. Again though Virgin say that it takes 2 hours 8 minutes to go from Manchester to London HS2 will knock about half an hour of this time not cost affective it would be better to spend this fifty billion on improving the motorway infrastructure  that would benefit more of the travelling public. As for over crowded trains put more carriages on. But then we get the excuse that we don't have any or they will be In the wrong  area at certain times.

Nurse numbers to be published daily

Some MP's want hospitals to publish each day the numbers of nurses on their wards. This again is just another sop by these out of touch MP's. Just employ more nurses, but you can bet that if this policy is implemented it will only create more people checking numbers it won't help. I was in Blackpool Hospital nine years ago and the nurse said that she was fed up with the bureaucracy, she was under stress yet this woman came round four times a day asking her how many beds were occupied or empty. But the point that really got her upset was that this woman was on a third more pay that her. Yet she was dealing every day with life and death situations.

Islam and the veil

The court case that is being debated whether a woman can wear a veil in court has not to be decided by the courts but by the Islamic Imams and scholars. Some say that it is in the Koran others say that the Koran tells people to dress modestly it doesn't say that the veil is require So first the Islamic leaders have to decide who is right and who is wrong. The veil has been banned in public in both France and Belgium. When the law of the land and the religions clash in such cases the law of the land must come first for the benefit of all the population.

Cameron Blunder after Blunder

Cameron has blundered after blunder he has cut the military to the lowest it has been since the Napoleonic era. He scrapped of the Nimrod project with the planes already coming off the production line. the navy is getting two carriers that will not be capable of launching or retrieving aircraft unless they have vertical take off and landing capability. So we can't have French or other NATO allied aircraft landing on them. The army is being reduced to around about 82,000 soldiers. But he's talking or was talking about taking action in Syria. He talks the talk but can't walk the walk. But by his complete stupidity recalling the house of commons to debate and vote over Syria, he's made a fool of not only himself but the country. Britain's standing in the world has been greatly diminished, in fact we have become a laughing stock. He may have won the debate if he had waited till the UN has come up with its report over the gas attack, and in the light of the last nights report of Syrian aircraft dropping a napalm type devise on a school would have gone a long way to alter peoples opinion of Assad. We may have damaged our relationship with America for a little while as the French now cosy up to the Americans, but they will also remember than the French didn't back them or us over the Iraq invasion. We have stood shoulder to shoulder with the Americans over the past decades whilst the French have been fair weather friends. Cameron lost the vote by 13 votes yet 93  members of parliament were not in the house. If Cameron wants to get back respect he has to do a Harold Macmillan's and perform a night of the long knives himself and prune out his ministers who voted against their government. The longer he waits the more his authority diminishes, but perhaps that might be a good thing for the country. He's weak and ineffectual, with the amount of back peddling he has performed over the past two and a half years he should be in a circus as a trick cyclist.

The BBC and your money

The BBC has paid off 150 senior staff at a cost of over £25million and many were paid over the odds, the excuse from the BBC was that they had to do this to stop them taking the BBC to court? Why would these people be taking the BBC to court if they were made redundant and had been given the correct remuneration owed to them. Some of these senior people were paid in the areas of £350,000 to £900,000 depending on seniority and length of service. The BBC it would seem is a corrupt organisation with jobs, and pay outs  for the boys and in many cases not what you know but who you know. James Purnell a failed Labour Minister who fell out with Gordon Brown when he was Prime Minister left as an MP, and hey presto he's suddenly Director of Strategy and Digital at the BBC. Did he apply for the job was he interviewed, but more importantly was the position advertised. No he was hand picked, this from a person who was questioned about his alleged  abuse of expenses when an MP. Again is this jobs for the boys. Something that seems to be rife in this country. But more importantly isn't it about time that the BBC licence was abolished, the £145.50 would be better spent in peoples pockets. The BBC shouldn't be protected in todays environment, they should be made to work on a level playing field, with the other TV companies. If this were to happen you can bet that these high salaries would be cut to a realistic level. And what was the BBC's response to paying these people over the odds. By doing this and getting rid of these senior staff we have saved money, if that is correct then by not paying these people over the odds wouldn't the BBC have saved even more of the licence fees payers money? No because these people in authority are completely out of touch with the real world. But more importantly because they all go to the same clubs they have all been to the same universities, but even more important they all drink from the same cup and all piss in the same pot.

Government to Blame

The cost of HS2 from London to Birmingham  has risen from £33 billion to £44 billion if the cost has risen so much how much could it be in ten years, £100 billion if it does then those who oppose it now  would be fully justified in their complaint about the cost being unaffordable. But if there is anybody  to blame then it is the government. John Redwood on Newsnight (25 June) said that it took major projects at least ten years to go through committees. This has again been proved right as Cross Rail in London has taken 25 years to come to fruition. So governments are the problem and the cause for cost increases in major projects, not the contractors.

Madeleine McCann

The British police at a cost of £5 million are to re-investigate the disappearance of Madeleine McCann from the apartment block in the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz in 2007. Although this was a tragic occurrence for her parents Kate and Gerry McCann, one has to ask why the couple who are both professional people were never charged with child neglect? They were out with friends eating out at a near by restaurant and although they returned every half hour or so to check on her and her brother, nothing can make up for their gross stupidity. If this had happened to a ordinary working class couple would they have been charged with child neglect? Its to hope that some time in the very near future that they finally find closure one way or another.

Murder of Lee Rigby

With the brutal murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby some people are questioning the security and intelligence service. The killers are thought to have been known to the intelligence service. But even if they were what can the intelligence service do? They cant lock them up or arrest them, they can only identify and record them, and  it is impossible to follow them twenty four hours a day seven days a week.. This would cost millions of pounds and would require thousands of  police and secret service agents to follow all such suspects. Again the secret service are always brought under scrutiny when such things like this occur or when we have disasters such as 7/7. We are all wise after the events. But we don't always know about the many successes that go unmentioned or reported, we just have to thank the services and hope that they can catch these people before they do any damage to life or property.

MP's may get a £10K pay rise.

There is now talk again about members of parliament getting a £10,000 pay rise, and again we here the same old rhetoric if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. In many cases we would be better off with monkeys and not these jackals that we now have in many cases. They say that their pay should be on a parity with  people working in London such as accountants.. When asked by IPSA  how much they thought they deserved one in three said that they deserved to be paid £86,000, couldn't this apply to anybody when asked what they thought they were worth. Most members of parliament are today corrupt, they only think of themselves, by writing articles, for media papers, or getting jobs with other organisations  Many go abroad at the tax payers expense claiming that they are for information that will help the public. A well known Lancashire MP has been on Fifty such jaunts, yes and many have been to exotic destinations. There is a suggestion that if they did get such a pay rise that it could be spread over five years after the 2015 election. When these MP's demand such rises saying that they should be on a par with other professions they seem to forget that they put themselves forward for election they didn't need to stand if they want more money then they should return to the professions or jobs that they had before being elected. I thought that people stood for parliament because they wanted to do something for the benefit of the country not their bank balance. When they put their snouts in the trough lets hope that many of them never raise their heads again.

Sex Gangs.

Another paedophile ring has been prosecuted in Oxford. Joanna Simonds chief executive of Oxfordshire county council and Sara Thornton chief constable of Thames Valley Police both refused to stand down after seven men were found guilty of a litany of child sex crimes over a seven year period. Again these people should not be asked to stand down they should be sacked, but not to worry we will continue to pay these two incompetent people high salaries and to pacify the public we will have another case review. This is the only thing that happens after these events, and as usual nothing will come of it. We  have just had the sex scandal in Rochdale again no body in authority has resigned or been sacked these things it would seem just seem to come out of the blue. Then we are informed that these things have been going on for literally years and in many cases the people in authority knew about it, but it was to much trouble to do anything. But the really troubling thing is that the girls are all white and the attackers are or ninety per cent from the  Asian culture, Again we use the term Asian that covers a vast area when the basic truth is that they are from the Pakistani group whether immigrant or English born, but we haven't to mention this why? There may well  be offenders from other cultures, but when we use the term Asian we insult others from that region of the world, there haven't been any Indian offenders, or Burmese offenders. The main problem is that to many people in authority knew about what was  going on. Until these people are removed from office, this corruption in high places will continue to cover up these paedophile rings. The likes of Joanna Simonds and Sara Thornton will beat their chest and mea culpa till they are red in the face, but this will not cover up their gross incompetence. These girls need to see the people who allowed this to happen to them over the years by their incompetence brought to account. Or these growing  paedophile rings will continue till the next time people in authority decide to do something.

Hypocrisy and double standards

UKIP has suspended Alex Wood one of its candidates as there is a photograph of him on Facebook showing him leaning forward with an outstretched left hand in what some are saying is a Nazi salute, but if it was a Nazi salute he should have been raising his right arm. But is this any worse than Aiden Burley MP a close friend of David Cameron who was a a stag night in France with people who were dressed up in Nazi SS uniform with Swastika arm band chanting Hitler Hitler Hitler and insulting the French restaurant staff. Which is worse? But is it people just out to get the UKIP a bad name because the Tories are running scared.

Child or Adult.

A youth has gone to the high court and has won an appeal that says that people  under 17 have to be treated as children by the police. This in the light of two 16 year old who committed suicide whilst in police custody and the police said that they were adult,s and as such their parents hadn't needed to be informed that they were in police custody. Now not just the law but society has to decide at what age a child becomes an adult. There are people who wanted the age for people to vote be reduced from 18 to 16. If this went ahead would  this mean that children would  now be able to vote at election times.

Common sense not this joke called justice.

Theresa May the Home Secretary has lost another round to deport Abu Qatada. Its now about time that this so called justice was ignored. David Cameron wants to get the security service to take Abu Qatada from jail and put him on an RAF plane and fly him to Jordon to stand trial there. If the Jordanian authorities have said that evidence obtained under torture would not be used then we have to accept their word. If Cameron did deport him his ratings would go through the roof  with 99% of the country  supporting  his action. If the justice department said what he had done was illegal then he could use the same law that has helped Qatada to stay here for the past ten years. He could use the same so called justice dragging it out for another ten to twenty years by appealing to the same courts that he has used.

Met Police Racism

Today is the twentieth anniversary of the murder of Stephen Lawrence. It was said that the met police were racist yet this attitude will continue as long as we have such things as the Black Police Officers Association. This again is black police officers not wanting it would seem wanting to join a union that is for all rank and file officers. This attitude also goes for barristers who have their black associations. If they want to say that we are not a racist country then such organisations should be outlawed most trade unions in this country do not have black branches. It doesn't matter what there colour is they are all union members with the same rights for all there members. Again is this not the black people that are the real racists, not the whites

New police commissioners

It would seem that when the new police commissioners were elected a few months ago it was poorly advertised and only 14% of those people eligible to vote did so. Many of those elected had no experience but more worrying is that many of them have gone on spending sprees and cronyism by chosen friends or colleagues to be their deputy or other well paid positions. These people were elected to oversee their police forces but it now seems that many of them can't be trusted. In Cumbria the police commissioner their has used his position to claim for two chauffeur driven trips  costing over £700 he has since repaid this money but only after two people reported it. These two people have since been arrested by the police on data protection offences. These people were doing their duty, as the police commissioner was abusing his position. This comes after another police commissioner picked a seventeen year old as a youth crime commissioner then it was discovered that this girl had sent abusive text and e-mails previously she should have been vetted but the commissioner was not it would seem doing her job properly. Again who can the public trust today.

Thatcher lover or loathe her

People either loved her or loathed her there are union leaders and members who blame her for the demise of the unions power. The labour opposition at the time said that they would repeal the conservatives anti union legislation as soon as they got into power. But when they came to power how many of these laws did they repeal? Not one, because Thatcher was right, the unions controlled the county with people like Red Robo who spent more time making car workers strike than working. Then we had the poll tax it might have been something that most people disliked but it helps run local councils economies. Then we had the closure of the coal mines with thousands of people loosing their jobs but if we had kept the mines we would have had to close them down today because of the green agenda for the world environment. So Thatcher was twenty years ahead of any other government in Europe with her policies. What would Tony Blair have done he would have had to close the mines, even against the threat of the unions, and their leaders. There are many more reasons for or against her policies that will be debated for years to come.

Right to buy. another Osborne clanger

Another clanger by this Chancellor, his right to buy may be a good idea but its meant for the first time buyer to get on the property ladder. But again hes made it something for the better off. He says that he wants it to help kick start the building industry, this will only happen if the industry builds affordable housing, not half million pound houses. The limit on house price should be limited to houses costing no more than £250,000. The money has to be allowed for people who want to get their first house be it a terraced or semi. this will help the young to get on the property ladder. If it is allowed to be used on more expensive houses all this will do is push up the price of houses that are already at unrealistic levels throughout the country, and it certainly hasn't got to be used for people to buy a second house no matter what some people may infer. Its for first time buyers and this has to be made clear  beyond all reasonable doubt. There has to be no ambiguity what so ever.

Tenth Anniversary of Iraq invasion

The tenth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq and its celebrated with bombs, that have resulted with 167 injured and another 50 killed to add to the 116,000 that have already been killed let alone the hundreds of thousands that have been injure, and over 4,600 allied  troops that have been killed  and over 40,000 that have been injured, and Tony Blair tries to justify this and said that it was correct to remove Saddam Hussein. He and George W Bush should be standing in the dock in the Hague for war crimes. He now says that the west should invade Syria. This from a man who now struts the world as a peace envoy when it suits him. A man who helped drive  Britain to the brink of a financial collapse with his poor policies that may have helped his cronies improve their wealth but did nothing for the average citizen. He made himself a mulit millionaire with his secret deals some of them with  Colonel Muammar Gadaffi.  He even moves money around through his numerous companies so as to avoid paying his rightful dues. This from a man who lead the Labour party from 1997 spouting to the working class about the Conservatives greed,  yet he has the morals worst than a Conservative. Becoming a catholic can't wash the blood from his hands, but he thinks that it might ease his conscience.

Cameron and the Press.

So Cameron cant agree with the two other leaders about press reforms is it any wonder when he has friends like Rebekah Brooks and Andy Coulson who have or had dealings with the press. But this again goes to show what poor judgement he has or is it arrogance. There is one thing for sure that if the Conservatives want to win the next election either on their own or in another coalition they have to dump him now. Its no use hanging on to a lame duck prime minister. As I've said before he could always get a job as a trick cyclist.

Lord Ashdown and colleagues

Lord Ashdown is complaining about the unbearable pressure put on MP's and their families due to the workings of the MP's. and the changes to the second home allowances. Again this is a politician who is out of touch with the real world. He complains that the changes to the second home allowances means that many MP's are having to spend long periods of times away from their wives and families. How bloody sad I don't think. How many thousands of people in this country spend days, weeks, and months, away from their families depending on their work. Soldiers, and he was in the military, spend months away from their families, travelling sales men spend days away from their families and people working on the oil rigs spend weeks away from their families. All these possible hardships  come with the job and the same applies to MP's. If they don't want to be away from their families then don't stand as an MP, but for Gods sake stop whining and stop trying to make an excuse, for housing allowances. These other jobs don't get housing allowances for their families so why should overpaid MP's get them. He even tries to say that these restrictions will make it harder for women to become MP's. Again how sad I don't think. They know the rules and again if they don't like them then don't stand. If these potential people who want to become MP's are determined to become MP's then I have to presume that they are doing it for the right reason, not so that they can have their families or partners living with them every day. Again we have the debacle over  Chris Huhne is the public bothered about him we hear that people are sorry for him. Why? Chris Huhne and his then wife Vicky Pryce  knowingly broke the law, but for ten years protested his innocence before in the end pleading guilty. They feel sorry for his wife again why?  Shes not some timid stay at home wife  She a high flying  economist who has dealt with big business and governments, and as such she knew what she was doing. If there is any justice both of them will receive substantial terms of imprisonment, but sadly all they got was eight months each. This is a derisory sentence when they could have been given life sentences. So eight months is a joke and sends the message to other potential  driving point swoppers a no brainer its worth taking the chance.

immigration

When people complain about immigration and the numbers coming into this country the do gooders always talk about the numbers of British people who live and work in Europe. Yet when they talk about the 750,000 Britain's who are in Spain they always fail to mention that these Britain's are mostly retired and have taken money with them into Spain and are not relying on benefits from this country. As for the Britain's who go to work in Europe they are mostly in permanent jobs. The biggest trouble goes back to the 1950's when there was an influx of people from India and Pakistan, these families not only brought their children, but most came with aged relatives who were never going to work but were drawing old age pensions and other benefits from a system that they had never contributed too. In the 50,s this might have been sustainable but today it isn't, and they were Commonwealth countries, and therefore had ties to Britain. The emerging countries from Eastern Europe have nothing in common with Britain. People in authority in Brussels say that there is freedom of labour  movement with in the EU. That immigrants have the rights to the same benefits of the member state that they reside in. Now that may be OK when people move from Britain to France or Germany or visa verse. If people from the poorer Eastern block countries come to the Western countries they receive larger benefits than they do in their country of origin. so is it any wonder that they come to the West, but would Western people move to what were the Eastern block countries where their benefits are less. I don't think so. When football players come to play with British clubs they need a work permit before they are eligible to play. So why doesn't this system apply to workers who come here, they need the permit before they are allowed into the country. Freedom of labour is a system that is loaded in the benefit of eastern people not western people and is therefore biased one way. Is it any wonder that people are not getting upset at the inequality of the system that the people in authority don't seen or don't want to accept.

How good is Camerons judgement

David Cameron says that he has every confidence in Sir David Nicholson the head of the NHS  even though people in the NHS have no confidence in his running of the NHS. If this  man was an honourable man he would fall on his sword, but he's not and he won't, perhaps the public will have to push him. But more importantly how good is Cameron's judgement, be employed Andy Coulson as his director of communications against the advice of people better placed than him. soon he had to go because of past misdemeanours.  He was the good friend of Rebeka Brooks even when she was implemented in the News of the World fiasco. How many more times has his judgement been brought into question over the past two and a half years? Perhaps he would be better as a clown in a circus riding a trick bicycle as he has done more U-turns than  past prime ministers added together. But he is in good company because he has a cabinet of clowns that have, and are dragging this country into a position that is making us the laughing stock of the world.

Olympic Legacy

So Sheffield Council is going to close then demolish Don Valley Athletic Stadium where Jessica Ennis trained over many years. She trained here and would have used these facilities at probably no financial cost to her. Now where is the so called Olympic Legacy that the prime minister and all these other dignitaries talked about at the time? This is the true fact, that people like Ennis who won gold medals but have since have made millions of pounds for themselves riding on the tax payers backs who subsidised her sport. It would be a nice gesture on her part instead of basking in this glory and criticising the council  she handed over a large sum of money from her wealth to keep this facility going  for the future generations who want to be future Olympians.

Who can we trust.

The Catholic Church is going through a traumatic time Cardinal O'Brien has resigned over the accusations of four priests about abuse going back to the 80's. Why has it taken so long? We have senior police who are under investigation. We have complaints about the senior people within the NHS. We have trouble still within the running of the BBC. But what we get from the senior people is denials or that it was before my time. Now we have the sex claims over Lord Rennard of the Liberal Party. Nick Clegg said that he knew nothing about it, then he changed his tone and said that he was aware of the complaints going back five years ago. His chief of staff informed him in 2010 about five allegations but he disputed them and took no further action. Tim Farron the Lib. Dem President made matters worse by saying that they screwed up over its handling of the matter. Its also reported that Danny Alexander the Treasury Chief Secretary confronted Lord Rennard with allegations in 2008. Then on Newsnight Simon Hughes said he knew nothing about it till confronted on the programme. I believe these people must be removed from office because they are incompetent to hold office. When they are confronted they make statement like Nick Clegg did. Indirect non-specific allegations? Utter gobbledygook. These people always seem to suffer from the same congenial defect Its called collective amnesia. its always strange how they suffer from this complaint, but when they are putting over their policies that they want the public to hear they are completely coherent.

Romanians And Bulgarians

In the 1960 when Germany was divided, the East Germans thought of a plan to cripple the West German economy. Any East German who reached the age of 60 and was not of a significant person to the East Germans economy were allowed to leave and enter West Germany. The idea was that even though they were East Germans the West Germans were obliged to pay these people old age pensions and other benefits at the rate that West Germans were entitled to, because West Germany didn't recognised the division of the country and all Germans were the same, luckily the plan did not succeed. But today the European Union is under a similar scheme, that can damage the prosperity of the people of what was once classed as Western Europe. As the European Union increases in area and there are at present 27 countries, with eight more waiting to join in the future. In 2014 Romanian and Bulgaria are going to become members, and there is going to be an expected influx of people from these countries. Under present EU legislation any person coming to Britain from these countries are entitled to the benefits of this country. For people coming and getting jobs there is no problem but for people coming as benefit tourists then we have a problem. In Germany they are feeling the problem with in some areas social breakdown is happening. There are in Germany 159,000 Romanians, in France 90,000,in Spain 900,000 and in Italy 970,000. The home office expect 50,000 to come to this country in 2014 but some experts predict that it could be ten times that number. Statistics vary but a Bulgarian worker on the minimum wage with a dependant spouse and two children receives a weekly income of £62 in Britain he would receive £543, a single Romanian on the minimum wage would receive £55 in Britain he would receive £254. Is it any wonder that these people would want to come to the West and Britain in particular. Now Cameron says that he vows to cut benefits for migrants. But can he do anything, if there is unrest with the people of this country and a growing unrest in other Western countries such as France and Germany. Haven't the rules to be altered, so that these Romanians and Bulgarians who come to this country as benefit tourists would only receive the same amount of benefits that they would receive in their own country. Like wise if people from Britain went to Bulgaria they would receive the equivalent British benefits in those countries. People may say that this is not fair or just, but is it fair and just that these people can come this way to gain more than at home. Even though not many people leave this country for those countries.  The system is loaded against the West and in favour of the Eastern countries. The only fair way would be for the European Unions leaders to inform these countries that they have to increase benefits to comparable benefits in the West, then perhaps we would not have as many migrants coming from these countries to escape poverty, yet we have the  government here cutting benefits to our people to find savings because of the austerity that only the working class and some middle class families are feeling the pain.

Put the prise of fizzy drinks up

How to stop obesity in Britain whats the response from the doctors and medical profession increase the cost of fizzy drinks by at least 20%. The same old rhetoric. Increase the price, again hitting the lower paid in their pocket. We heard it a few months ago over sausage rolls put the price up, its always the comment from people who haven't got a clue. All we need is to use the old adage everything in moderation and the problem could be solved all putting the price up fills up the governments coffers.

EU Budget

Cameron has seized victory with the budget cut, yet is he being presumptuous  this has to go before the European Parliament who could veto it. The president of the parliament Martin Schultz has threatened to have a secret ballot next month to encourage MEP's to vote down the budget. Does this go to show how undemocratic it is with secret ballots, I'm quite sure that this is something that the people of Europe don't want. The French didn't want a cut in the budget and why not because they are one of the biggest recipients of the common agricultural policy, The truth is that for years they have received money from CAP because they are incompetent, behind the times they have not modernised as the rest of the original member.farmers have, like the British and the Germans If France and President Hollande want to do anything why doesn't he say that France has received this money for far to long at the expense of the other members and that French farmers will enter the twenty first century and benefit us all.

Speeding points

Chris Huhne and Vicky Pryce have brought this on themselves, but in Germany this could never of happened. Why because the speed cameras photograph you from the front. It was said that we didn't do that in this country because the flashing of the camera might distract the driver, what a load of rubbish. If you are photographed from the rear the flash still gets into the eyes of drivers coming the other way, so that excuse doesn't wash. I was caught speeding in Germany a few years ago. I was caught doing 60Kh/h in a 50Kh/h zone ten kilometres an hour over the speed limit. I received a 15 Euro fine but no penalty points, a few kilometres more and I would have received points. When the speeding penalty form arrived it had everything on it but more importantly there was a photograph of the licence plate and a photograph of the person behind the wheel, me. In this country we have thousands of people each year taking the points for the wrong doer. so long as we get the money it would seem that the perpetrator can get away with it. So its money not justice it would seem.If we had the German system we would save any of this. As for Vicky Pryce saying that she was bullied into taking the points. Does anybody in their right mind believe that a woman with a high profile job like hers, would be bullied. She was not some little stay at home housewife dominated by a high flying husband. She knew what they were both doing. But as both having high profile jobs and who they were they believed that they could get away with it. In Germany there wouldn't have been a problem. Lets hope that if she is found guilty that the full force of the law comes down on them both. They could both face life imprisonment  for perverting the law. But sadly they will probably end up get months not years. Again there is punishment for the peasants, and one for the others with friends in high places. That is what justice means in this country today.

Democracy in Britain today... I dont think so.

We are always been told that we live in a democratic country but is that true? Yesterday 650 MP's decided if gay marriage should be put on the statute book.650 people decided for the population of the country. Is that democracy I don't think so. Not one of the main parties put it in there manifestos. If they had the outcome of the last general election might have turned out differently. 400 voted in favour and 175 against, these people voted with their conviction, but the biggest disappointment is that 63 abstained. If they hadn't  got the courage of their convictions either for or against then they shouldn't be in parliament. But an ever sadder part is that parliament spent over six hours debating this when there are far more important things that affect the vast majority of the population. If we live in a democratic country why is it that these members of parliament had a free vote. Did any of these MP's have constituency members who asked them to vote one way or another. If we live in a democracy then the MP's should vote on the way that the majority of their constituents who took the time to ask him or her to vote should have respected their wishes and voted with that majority decision of these constituents no matter how small it was. If this didn't happen then we are not in a democratic country. We are governed by 650 people.

Chris Huhne

So after ten years and two years of denying that he asked his wife to take his driving points he has pleaded guilty. He has perverted the law, this from a man who has been an MEP is an MP and was in the Cabinet. He has resigned and I hope that nobody attempts to say that this is an honourable move on his part. He has resigned as an MP. This just goes to show what type of a person he was, a multimillionaire what other lying has he done in the past. He's an arrogant man and I hope that the full force of the law comes down on him and he faces a long custodial sentence. People in authority have to understand that they are subject to the law as are the rest of us. We will now have to see what the outcome of his ex-wife will be as she has pleaded not guilty and goes to trial. If found guilty will she face a longer custodial sentence. There can be no excuses from either of them as they are both alleged highly intelligent people. But dubious in their daily lives.

Some Conservative Hypocrisy

Senior local conservatives are urging the prime minister to delay a parliamentary decision on gay marriage till after the next election. About twenty of them delivered a letter to 10 Downing Street. Its also thought that 180 MP's and 4 cabinet ministers could also abstain in a parliamentary vote. This is the height of hypocrisy on the part of these conservatives. If they are opposed to gay marriage you don't abstain you have the strength of your conviction and vote against gay marriage. As for those conservatives who delivered the letter, again if they are opposed to gay marriage they inform the prime minister. Asking him to put it off till after the next election is absolute rubbish. What is the point of that if he does the problem over gay marriage will still be there in 2015. Do these conservatives actually think that they will win the next election?

outsiders

It seems that we don't have people capable of running our institutions so David Cameron is talking about bringing in Bill Bratton from America to possible run the Metropolitan Police. Theresa  May the Home Secretary will open the door next week by proposing reforms to the police recruitment including allowing senior officers from  overseas to become chief constables. It seems strange that this government cant find people to fill these jobs from home. But the really sad part is that if we have to go abroad to find recruits and people to fill these positions, why doesn't it apply to the job of prime minister and other senior posts within government. Last week there was a report that said many of our permanent civil servants were not capable or up to doing their jobs. So lets put out to the world requests for people to run this country because its quite obvious that the people that we now have are totally incapable of doing the jobs.

Rip of Britain

European migrants should be barred from claiming benefits for children who live overseas, David Blunkett said yesterday. There are an estimated 40,251 children resident in another EU country. But surely the biggest problem under EU legislation is that immigrants who come to Britain from other EU countries are entitled to receive unemployment benefits at the same level as the  country they reside in. This is truly a one sided agreement. If Immigrants from countries such as Turkey or in 2014 from Bulgaria and Romania can receive the same benefits as a British person, Now this may seem fair but if people emigrate to these countries they would receive the benefits of these countries, that are far less than in Britain  so people would not emigrate to these countries they are far better stopping at home. So logically some one from Turkey or Romania and Bulgaria who is unemployed would be financially better coming to Britain. Now EU leaders who made these benefits universal would only be universal if every EU country paid exactly the same amount no matter in which country they resided. At present this scheme is totally beneficial to people coming from former eastern block countries to Britain, and  Germany where they will gain. people going they other way would be at a financial disadvantage. Is it any wonder therefore that unemployed people will flock from these countries to the west, putting more financial pressure on the hard pressed population on Britain and Germany  The sad part is that the people in power in Brussels are not affected by these problems because basically no body is coming for their jobs.

Cameron and Mali

David Cameron has sent two C-17 transport aircraft to help the French in their intervention in Mali, one has broken down already. Is this the act of a good NATO friend or is it a cynical ploy on Cameron's part? If in the near future the Argentinian President Kirchner was foolish enough to try and invade the Falklands and by some good luck on her part they managed to capture the islands again. We have limited forces down their four Typhoon aircraft and a VC 10 tanker and one C-130 transport and about 1800 military personnel. If they launched a supprise attack and if their air force was able to knock out the islands aircraft, it was only pure luck that the Argentinians in 1982 didn't destroy more ships as some bombs did not explode and others went straight through without exploding there would have been a different outcome to that conflict. Also the Argentinian pilots were told to avoid conflict with the Harriers, again a massive  mistake on their part. If and again its a big if, if they did gain control of the islands, all they would have to do is transport the Falkland islander citizens back to Argentina and tell Britain to come and pick them up or they would be interned, they would also transport the military personnel back to Argentina and they would be held as POW's. They would be released when Britain informed the United Nations and the world that Britain would give  up all sovereignty claims to the Falklands. Argentina is going through both political and financial problems. With full control of the islands they would have the fishing rights to the rich grounds but more importantly they could have the off shore oil reserves that people predict are in the region of 60-80 billion barrels. Is this a possible reason that Kirchner might think seriously about another invasion, in the short term is could be a Pyrrhic victory but in the long term a financial rewarding one and one that would endear her to the people, and she must know that no matter what the rhetoric coming from Britain we could not retake the islands without help from our allies. So is Cameron's support of the French just a ploy. Please if the islands are invaded can you lend us an aircraft carrier, as without one we can't retake the islands.
