Posh and posher

Andrew Neils programme about our so called political elite was an eye opener. For a country who's leaders are always bragging about our freedoms and democracy, this programme showed that it is not. From Harold Wilson to John Major our Prime Ministers came from working but mainly middle class and from a grammar school education. Today our leaders come from Eaton and Oxbridge backgrounds taking Politics Philosophy and Economics. Philosophy, the pursute of wisdom and knowledge, its a pity that common sense doesn't come into it at any stage. From all parties they have stitched up these jobs and positions for the minority of well connected people. These positions are now being held by people of wealth , not by meritocracy. Many MP's in the past came through the trade unions but not today Johnston, and Prescott are probably the last two. Why don't any come from grammar schools, because the ruling elite have done away with such institutions, they were a threat to them and their positions in the political world. Of the last sixty MP's from the labour ranks only six are from working class. So how can this Government and in many cases the opposition say that they represent the majority of the population. As thing get tighter with increasing  fuel, utilities and food prices escalating at an alarming rate. There are 23 millionaires sitting in the cabinet, what does it matter to them is fuel increases by a few pence a litre or bread increases. They are immune to it all as they sit in their secure  palace at Westminster, and claim extra benefits for their gross stupidity. These are the greedy people who only want to feather their own nests at the expense of the people. How long will it be before the people start to take a leaf out of the book of the Tunisians and Egyptians, and take to the streets, and demand a fair deal for all the people of this country not just the rich and well off elite.

Politicions and Hypocracy.

Secretary of State William Hague has said that the rioters in Egypt have a genuine political and financial grievance against their government over the state of the way their country is being governed. This from a government that is not a meritocracy one, but one that is run by people of wealth and position. When prices continue to rise and thousands loose their jobs because of government legislation. Legislation that never applies to them only the workers. Will he be passing the same comments when there are riots in major British cities for fairer wages, jobs  and cheaper food and utility prices, that the population are seeing rise, when all the government  can say is that it is market forces. and speculators that are causing it.Roll on the revolution for democracy in this once green and pleasant land that is now being sold off to the highest foreign buyer.

government lies and stupidity.

This government came to power promising big changes. The bonfire of the quango's they were going to sweep them away these unelected bodies and save the country millions if not billions of pounds. Then in power they decided that they couldn't do it, one or two would go the rest would be absorbed into government departments. Where was the saving? Then we have them cancelling the Nimrod project that has cost over £4 billion, yet the plane is now completed and within the next year all remaining eight would have been completed. But no they rush through legislation to not just cancel the project but to scrap the planes. How much will the country get from the scrap, let alone the loss of highly skilled jobs from people who were paying tax this now to be lost as they are thrown on the scrap heap. Its also reported that the MoD is to put out to tender future contracts. Have the government forgotten the contract refurbrishment of the Tornado by Marshals of Cambridge who got the contract over BAe Systems who built the plane, only to see that much damage done to these planes by Marshals  that ended up cost the tax payer £100 million to put right.  This government and Cameron are big on talk. They and he is out of touch with reality. Bernie Hamilton of Unite is quite correct "the lunatics have taken over the asylum."

Religion

Baroness Warsi has complained that Muslims are being prejudiced against in this country.Perhaps she wants to take her head out of her backside and look round at the real world. There may be millions of Muslims in the world who are good people but its about time that more of these so called good Muslims stood up and criticised the thousands of Muslims who are through out the world killing and murdering not only their fellow Muslims who may not believe in their  interpretation of the Koran, but are also killing Christians in Muslim countries. Why because the Muslim Faith isn't strong enough to compete on equal footing without threatening people who may want to leave the Islamic faith for another one of their choice with death threats. This country like many other western countries have bent over backwards to allow Muslims to build and worship in their Mosques in the West. This freedom that they are allowed seems to be a one way street. How many Christian Churches are their in these Muslim Countries compared to Mosques in Christian countries. The numbers will certainly be disproportionate in the Muslims favour. In these Muslim countries its usually mainly the Christian organisations that look after the destitute and the poor. When Jack Straw condemned the grooming of white girls by Muslim youths of Pakistani origin he was condemned as a bigot.Yet she knows it and so do thousands of other people in both the Christian and Muslim areas of this country. The sad part is that when Muslims are found to be guilty of committing crimes in this country and are ordered back to be deported back their country of birth they complain that their Human Rights are being abused and how they may be killed or persecuted if they are sent back. They are quick enough to condemn western cultures as immoral, but they are quite prepared to embrace drink and drugs, and pimp and run brothels. But when they are caught and found guilty they say that they are good Muslims and that they would never do such a thing and that it is the people of this country who are prejudiced against them because of their colour, their religion , and anything else that they can think of that will remove them from a country that has bent over backwards to accommodate them. Perhaps Baroness Warsi should remember than a criticism is not a prejudice. Prejudice not criticism seems to be the bias cry of the Muslims.

morals

You can't open a newspaper today or switch on the television without reading seeing or hearing about the lack of morals from many of our so called leaders or celebrates. We can't it seems get enough of that well known female who has had more breast implants, and lovers than any other female on the planet. Yet keeps complaining how she misses her ex-husband from down under. Her latest husband lasted all of eleven months. Then we read about the latest Lord a member of the so called upper class who is accused of bonking her off, a penniless mother who asked him for help over her CSA claim.  This again is only in a long line of the so called great and the good. But what do we expect when today we make celebrates out of talentless people. We are inundated with cheap chat shows on television that are the same people being regurgitated. "You come on my chat show then invite me back to your chat show." We have footballers who try and have a sexual relationship with the corner flag after scoring a goal. or their childish attitudes like sucking their finger or in the case of one footballer pulling a dummy from his sock. Is it any wonder that we have a youth culture that is finding it difficult to find a decent role model? Or these well honed athletes who roll around on the ground when they are tapped on the ankle, yet when they score a goal they bend backwards with their arms up in the air as their team mates jump all over them. If in one of these incidents the player was to suffer serious injury could the insurance refuse to pay out as it couldn't be deemed to be a sporting accident. Like wise when footballers celebrate a goal by doing backward flips and hand stands. Then we have the stupid cricketers who go round giving the high five to everybody on the team when they take a wicket. Bring back the days of Jim Laker when at Old Trafford in 1956 he ended the Australian innings with his 19 wicket. Turning to the umpire asking for it when it was given he took his jumper from the umpire shook his hand and started to walk off the ground. That was a world record with dignity. Now we see certain cricketers who take a wicket then jump up and down like a demented gazelle. Bring back the old days.

NHS

With the debacle that is now looming with the NHS that is going to cause great changes who knows whether for the betterment or not for the population of the country. How can the general public decide when even  the so called expert and politicians can't agree. I only know that with the amount om money that the GP's are going to be asked to deal with, an estimated £80 billion it will leave the way open to some scrupulous medical people to start to cream off the system for themselves, or their practices especially if it is a large practice. We have already seen surgeons in hospitals who are holding back their own NHS waiting lists so that they can refer them to a private hospital that they own or owned by their relatives. This must be a form of corruption in anybodies language. If things like this doe occur will the relevant authorities prosecute the offenders, by recouping the monies, strike off the offending medical person and ask for a long custodial sentence, even if to discourage  other potential miscreants. With the debacle that has happened over the past couple of years with our honourable members of parliament and top bankers, can any so called professional people be trusted when greed rears its ugly head.

Defence.

Why would any body want to design and build a house then during the building of it change the lay out till they get it just as the require it. Put in all the fittings and fixtures at great expence, then when their dream house is completed decide that they can't afford to light and heat it so they knock it down and sell of the rubble for a fraction of what it cost to build. Well that is just what Cameron has done by scrapping the Nimrod GR4, when one has been deliverd to the RAF and the other eight are nearly finished or will be by the end of the year. £4 billion  of tax payers money, and all the tax payer will get for it is no plane and a possible couple of hundred thousand in scrap metal. Also with the removal from service of the carrier and the scrapping of the Harriers This man is full of wind and should be held on  treasonable charges.
