Posh and posher

Andrew Neils programme about our so called political elite was an eye opener. For a country who's leaders are always bragging about our freedoms and democracy, this programme showed that it is not. From Harold Wilson to John Major our Prime Ministers came from working but mainly middle class and from a grammar school education. Today our leaders come from Eaton and Oxbridge backgrounds taking Politics Philosophy and Economics. Philosophy, the pursute of wisdom and knowledge, its a pity that common sense doesn't come into it at any stage. From all parties they have stitched up these jobs and positions for the minority of well connected people. These positions are now being held by people of wealth , not by meritocracy. Many MP's in the past came through the trade unions but not today Johnston, and Prescott are probably the last two. Why don't any come from grammar schools, because the ruling elite have done away with such institutions, they were a threat to them and their positions in the political world. Of the last sixty MP's from the labour ranks only six are from working class. So how can this Government and in many cases the opposition say that they represent the majority of the population. As thing get tighter with increasing  fuel, utilities and food prices escalating at an alarming rate. There are 23 millionaires sitting in the cabinet, what does it matter to them is fuel increases by a few pence a litre or bread increases. They are immune to it all as they sit in their secure  palace at Westminster, and claim extra benefits for their gross stupidity. These are the greedy people who only want to feather their own nests at the expense of the people. How long will it be before the people start to take a leaf out of the book of the Tunisians and Egyptians, and take to the streets, and demand a fair deal for all the people of this country not just the rich and well off elite.
